A travel job, priced honestly
Glasgow is the furthest of the regions we list from either base, and pretending otherwise would only produce a quote that falls apart later. Travel and accommodation appear openly, and we normally arrive the day before build rather than driving up on the morning, because a five-hour journey is not a sensible thing to have between us and a network that has to be live at gates.
What the west of Scotland asks for
Glasgow itself behaves like any dense city: the mobile networks are busy before your crowd arrives, so serious city-centre work points at a provisioned line or a properly bonded multi-carrier setup rather than 4G and hope. What changes here is the weather and the geography. Outdoor kit needs mounting for sustained wind and rain rather than a dry afternoon, which affects how a satellite dish and mast are rigged and how cable is routed and protected. And you can be an hour from the city and genuinely off-grid, with Loch Lomond and rural Argyll close enough that a Glasgow enquiry often turns out to be a satellite job on a site with no line and no signal.
Where west of Scotland events actually happen
City-centre work around the SEC campus, Glasgow Green and the big parks is dense, congested and much like any major UK city: the answer is usually a provisioned line or a properly bonded connection, not 4G. What is different is what sits just outside. Within an hour you are into Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and rural Argyll, where sites have no line, no reliable signal and frequently no mains at the far end. Those are satellite jobs with battery-fed positions, and the planning has to account for weather that will genuinely test a mast and a dish rather than just make the crew miserable. The distance from our bases is the other planning factor, and it is why we normally travel up ahead of build rather than on the morning.
Coverage & capacity estimator
A rough starting point for your site. Give us the numbers and we will suggest access points, a backhaul route and a VLAN outline. These are indicative only. Every design and price is bespoke and follows a proper survey.

How it works
We assess the site, the crowd and the load, remotely or in person.
We pick the backhaul and design coverage, capacity and VLANs.
We install and configure the kit and test it under real load.
We monitor and support the network on the day and beyond.

Request a quote
Tell us about your event and we will come back with a custom quote built around your site. No obligation.
We can only deliver what is on the quote. Kit, coverage, extra zones, hardwired drops and on-site staff all need to be agreed and priced beforehand, so if you need something, ask us before the day rather than on it. Happy to add anything, we just need to know.
Thanks, we have got your enquiry and will come back to you shortly. Prefer email? Reach us at connect@propernorthern.co.
