Corporate responsibility

Our commitments, and the documents behind them. If you are completing a procurement or tender pack, everything you need should be on this page.

Policy documents

Every document, here to download

These apply to all operations carried out by Proper Northern Ltd. All documents are reviewed annually and updated as required. If you need any of them on your own template, or need something we have not listed, ask and we will sort it.

Also available on request: public liability insurance certificate, PAT testing records and a risk assessment and method statement for your specific site. See how we work, or just ask when you enquire.

Environmental responsibility

Event connectivity involves travel, energy use and moving equipment around the country. There is no version of this work with no footprint, so rather than claim otherwise we work on the parts we actually control.

That means planning routes to cut vehicle mileage, combining jobs in the same region into one trip where the calendar allows, buying enterprise equipment built to last rather than disposable alternatives, and keeping kit in service for as long as it performs rather than replacing it on a cycle. On off-grid sites we use battery-powered access points in place of running a generator wherever the load allows it.

The full Environmental and Sustainability Policy is above.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Proper Northern Ltd is committed to providing equal opportunities in employment and in the delivery of our services. We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

We expect the same standards from anyone working on our behalf, including freelance crew and subcontractors.

Modern slavery statement

Proper Northern Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing effective systems to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our business or supply chain.

The full Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy is above.

Anti-bribery and ethics

We conduct all business honestly and with integrity. We do not tolerate bribery, corruption or any form of improper conduct, whether in our own operations or through third parties acting on our behalf. All employees and subcontractors are required to comply with our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy.

Our supply chain

We buy enterprise networking equipment and satellite connectivity from established manufacturers and distributors, and we bring in freelance crew for larger builds. The standards we expect from anyone in that chain, and how we manage those relationships, are set out in the Supplier and Subcontractor Policy above.

Working safely on site

Most of our work happens on live event sites alongside other contractors, often outdoors and often at height or around vehicles. We provide a risk assessment and method statement for each job rather than a generic one, keep equipment PAT tested, and carry public liability insurance. If your organiser or venue has their own supplier pack or forms, send them over and we will complete them.

Accessibility

This website is built to be usable with a keyboard and with a screen reader, with visible focus states, text alternatives on images, and colour contrast that holds up on a black background. If you find something on the site you cannot use, tell us and we will fix it rather than add it to a backlog.

Completing a tender or procurement pack and need something that is not on this page? Ask and we will get it to you.

Everything is quoted in advance

We can only deliver what is on the quote. Kit, coverage, extra zones, hardwired drops and on-site staff all need to be agreed and priced beforehand, so if you need something, ask us before the day rather than on it. Happy to add anything, we just need to know.
